Tower of Terror:

O hotel

A recepção

Eu conheço esse elevador...

O elevador "de serviço"

Olha eu!

Studio Tram Tour: Behind the magic

A organização desta atração é praticamente nula!

Hunf.

Moteurs... Action!

Tirando as atrações, encontrei outras semelhanças...

A famosa "New York Street"

(English version below.)

Walt Disney Studios in Paris - part 1

I started my Disneyland Paris visit by this park, that is not the most popular, in hopes that it wouldn't be as crowded as Disneyland Park, like I told you here.

My decision turned out to be a good one, not exactly because of the crowds (after all, just like that rude cast member, I wasn't at the other park to tell how crowded it was).

I think it was a good idea to go to Walt Disney Studios first because my disappointment was so big that I ended up liking Disneyland Park a lot more when I visited it a few weeks later

So let's get started...

Like I said, this park is basically a copy of Hollywood Studios, in Orlando.

And I have proof!

I decided to start with the attractions that are doppelgangers of the Florida ones, with pictures and my opinions...

Tower of Terror:

The hotel

The lobby

I know this elevator...

Service elevator

There I am!

If you know the one in Orlando, you know this one!

The good thing is that this attraction doesn't depend on magic and pixie dust.

The scary atmosphere works well, the storytelling with the guests who die on the elevator during a thunderstorm is the same and everything is very similar...

But it's a recipe that works, isn't it? Elevator falling multiple times, great view of the park from up there, butterflies in the stomach... Awesome! Always!

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster:

I took some pictures from the inside, but they turned out too dark... But I assure you that, again, everything is very similar to the Rock 'n' Roller that we all know and love!

There's that stop by the recording studio with Aerosmith ordering our stretch limo and all.

I (obviously) asked to to ride on the front row and I can say that I found the ride stronger and more thrilling than the one in Orlando. There are wild loops, a lot more neon and it's just a lot of fun!

I only have one complaint: my had was banging on the seat for the whole ride! On the sides, on the back... I didn't want to go again because I was afraid I could get a headache! That was strange, because it's not something that happens on the R&R in Florida. There, I can ride it multiple times easily!

Studio Tram Tour: Behind the magic

Ok, now THAT is the poor version of Hollywood Studios' Backlot Tour!

The ride is way too short and not a big deal at all.

And here I started noticing one of the things that really annoyed me during my visits to the Paris parks.

I waited for almost one hour in line, in the freezing cold... It was even drizzling. And when it was almost my turn and I could see the trams and the loading area, I figured out why the wait was soooo long!

This attraction has a virtually inexistent organization!

When our turn is coming, we go through turnstiles and to the loading area, closed by short metal gates, that are opened when the tram is ready to be loaded.

But apparently no one has bothered to check how many people fit into a seat or they just don't care, because there's no control over the number of guests boarding.

The result: those huge seats, two or three people on each one and the tram starting the ride and leaving you standing in line. In the cold.

NO ONE LOOKS FOR A "PARTY OF TWO" OR A "SINGLE RIDER" TO FILL THE SEATS COMPLETELY!

And the one-hour line...

Now THAT kills the Disney magic.

Moteurs... Action!

Also know in english by Lights, Motors, Action!

That's a repetition too, but... the original version is this one, from Paris! The copy is in Orlando and was brought there along with Soarin (in Epcot, from Disneyland California) to celebrate Disneyland's 50th anniversary, in 2005, during the "Happiest Celebration on Earth", that involved all the parks!

The sad part is that is was closed, so I couldn't watch the show...

Apart from the attractions, I found other similarities..

The hat very much like the one we already know...

Eu recomendaria a visita à Disneyland, sim!
